D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event 2026 delivered one of the biggest Disney Lorcana presentations yet, with Ravensburger unveiling new sets, new products, expanded competitive play and perhaps the most anticipated announcement in the game's history: Disney Lorcana Digital is officially in development.

Disney Lorcana Digital Is Finally Happening

The headline reveal came at the end of the presentation when Ravensburger confirmed that a digital version of Disney Lorcana, playable on both desktop and mobile devices, is officially "in the works." A Look Ahead to 2027

The panel also offered an early glimpse at Cosmic Quest, a space themed set arriving in Spring 2027 that will take Illumineers beyond the Inklands and into the stars. Ravensburger additionally teased that future storylines, products and expansions are already being planned through 2029 and beyond.

Collector Boosters and the New Illustrious Rarity

Beginning with Into the Inkdark in Q1 2027, Lorcana will introduce Collector Boosters, featuring 12 premium foil cards per pack. The new product will also debut a brand new rarity called Illustrious. Only six Illustrious cards will appear in each set, with just 23 serialized copies of each card produced worldwide.

The first Illustrious card revealed was Maleficent – Biding Her Time, a special callback to the very first Lorcana card unveiled at D23 in 2022.
